The Most Amazing Table
“Another 5 star rating for Ollie! I’ve just taken delivery of the most amazing table made from the wine boxes that I was sure could be used to make something beautiful. For the avoidance of doubt, I did not drink all the wine in the boxes, at least two boxes were scavenged!
As for all the other projects he’s undertaken, Ollie was meticulous in keeping me informed of his progress and I enjoyed seeing the table come together. The table now has pride of place in our sitting room and I am looking forward to opening a bottle of something appropriate to celebrate its arrival.”

A Fantastic Week
“I had a fantastic week in September 2019 learning how to strip, prep, paint, wax, oil, stain and French polish two pieces I brought with me. I hadn’t done anything like this for about 12 years and these processes were new to me so I had lots to learn. Ollie is really nice and friendly and took me through all the steps I needed to do, and was always on hand to answer questions, share his knowledge and offer support where needed.
Ollie knows a great deal about how to get the best finish and also shares which are the best products to use. It was so worthwhile doing the course and I know I could drop Ollie a message if I ever had questions in the future though his course notes are brill and I made sure to make notes and take pictures as I went along.
It was totally the best thing I did for myself all year and I’ve told quite a few people at work about it. The workshop is really calm and light and in a lovely location. I really couldn’t recommend it enough.”

“I’ve recently completed the two week Professional Furniture Refinishing Masterclass with Ollie at OP Woodcraft. Ollie has been absolutely fantastic in passing on his knowledge, showing me his skills and teaching me about different techniques and wood finishes.
I was impressed with how much I achieved during my ten days with Ollie, I really didn’t expect to get so much done! Altogether I worked on eight pieces that were refinished in various ways such as French polishing, waxing and oiling, and I’ve also learnt various techniques such as stripping, hole filling, grain filling, staining, sealing, cutting back, mopping, touching in and rubbering.
Ollie’s been incredibly patient with all of my questions, he’s given me valuable advice about setting up my own wood care business and also about the different products and tools required for the trade. “I attended the one day Beginners French Polishing Course and I loved every minute of it. Ollie is a first class instructor with a great blend of instruction, demonstration and practical experience. The location and the studio is excellent too and containing the class to a relatively small number of participants helps to ensure great levels of tuition.
I worked on a coffee table and it was astounding to see it come back to life in such a relatively small period of time. It has given me great help and confidence to work on some further items at home but I am also equally sure I may return for further tuition and help in the future.
