This oak X leg dining table was one of my first commissioned pieces after completing my furniture making tuition. It was quite the squeeze in what was my first workshop space.

The client brief was large components with a solid farmhouse feel. The legs and horizontal supports have a solid heavy look which makes the thick jointed oak top lay delicately on top. The top was fixed with hand crafted buttons allowing for wood movement over the years.

All components were sanded to 320 grit, grain filled and finished in osmo satin hard wax oil.
