Modern apprenticeship – Part 1
The modern apprenticeship costs the earth. It breaks me financially but brings joy to my world. Keep looking to see what I’m working on. My quest to become a craftsmen has just begun so the story will be in word and picture form on my blog page.
My first course span 10 weeks and was based at Jonathan Markovitz furniture school. It covered sharpening, wood technology, hand tool techniques, 2d/3d drawing, tool selection, wood selection, wood machining, machine maintenance and my portfolio design and make piece which was a brown oak console table. It then concluded with an in depth consultation on how to set up and maintain a design and make business.
Here is my journey so far.
